Oh ParaKiss, I had great expectations for you, I really did. Mukai Osamu is my bias and Keiko Kitagawa doesn't look too shabby either. But damn after watching it I got 3 letters for you: W T F !!!!!!!!!1
Now I haven't read the manga prior to watching the film so i had no clue on how well the film stick to the original story. The only manga adaptation that i've watched on film is Beck and I went gaga over it (really good movie) so I was hoping that when I watch ParaKiss the impact on me would be the same, but meh what a total letdown :( I never thought i would fastforward a scene in a movie (because well, it's a movie! Only 2 hours short), but not even my love for Mukai Osamu could stop me from doing that. The movie was B-O-R-I-N-G-! and mind you, Japanese movies tend to be slow but this one is the unintentional kind of boring, the story is all over the place and the acting just doesn't cut it for me :( Since I haven't read the manga, I had no idea what George should be but by basing it on the movie, I think Mukai Osamu did an okay job with the portrayal of George. Now my main problem with this movie is Keiko Kitagawa's acting! >=[ I thought she'd be perfect for the role since she was a model before and her acting in Buzzer Beat was okay, but in here, no. Just no. I just realized that girl can't act (i've also stopped watching Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de because of her acting and the shallow murder plots), so yup, no justice at all to her character, Yukari. Just horrible horrible acting :(

The only good thing about this movie are the kiss scenes, damn those two leads know how to kiss!

o/t: Watching it also prod me to read the manga, my first ever and good to know that it's only five volumes (do not have the patience to read loooong ones like One Piece) although i'm still currently on the first volume :)
